Christopher Belter, now 20, was accused of attacking three teenage girls in Lewiston, New York. The New York Times reports he pulled one victim’s clothes off, and told her to stop being such a baby. Belter pleaded guilty to felony charges that included third-degree rape and first-degree sexual abuse.

In court, Belter said he felt deep shame and regret.

The judge in the case, Matthew Murphy, said prison time in this case would be “inappropriate,” WKBW reported. Under the terms of the probation, Belter must live with his parents and have no contact with anyone under 18, and is not allowed on the internet. Belter will also register as a sex offender.

An attorney for one of the victims told the Washington Post that his client, as well as other victims in the courtroom, were “deeply disappointed.”

Three adults are also facing charges in connection with the case, the Washington Post reports. They are accused of supplying victims with alcohol and marijuana during parties.
