Luke Bryan took the stage on Sunday's American Idol toΒ performΒ John Mellencamp's "Small Town."
Clad in aΒ shirt and jeans, Luke got the in-studio crowd on their feet, clappingΒ and singing along to John's 1985 hit. His performance coincided with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame theme for Sunday's show.
This year'sΒ Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees were also announced Sunday night. They include ageless divaΒ Cher, R&B powerhousesΒ Mary J. Blige, '70s and '80 rock hitmakersΒ Foreigner, '70s superstar guitaristΒ Peter Frampton, jam band superstarsΒ Dave Matthews Band, R&B legendsΒ Kool & the Gang, metal iconΒ Ozzy OsbourneΒ and pioneering rap groupΒ A Tribe Called Quest.
