For the second time, the thriller streaming service Shudder is highlighting Black writers and directors withΒ a new horror anthology,Β HorrorΒ Noire.
A follow-up to 2019's documentaryΒ BlackΒ Noire: A History of Black Horror,Β Black NoireΒ will feature six stories together in one two-hour presentation, each written and directed by Black filmmakers.
IncludedΒ in the anthology will be the installmentsΒ Daddy,Β Bride Before You,Β Brand ofΒ Evil,Β The Lake,Β Sundown, andΒ Fugue State.
The filmsΒ includeΒ Luke JamesΒ fromΒ The Chi;Β A Black Lady Sketch Show'sΒ Erica Ash;Β Lucifer'sΒ Lesley-Ann Brandt;Β You're the Worst'sΒ Brandon Mychal Smith;Β John Wick: Chapter 2'sΒ Peter Stormare;Β Genius: Aretha Franklin'sΒ Malcolm Barrett;Β Rachel TrueΒ fromΒ The Craft, and horror icon andΒ CandymanΒ starΒ Tony Todd.
Horror NoireΒ debuts on Thursday, October 28 on Shudder and at a later date through Shudder as part of the AMC+ bundle.
