Rajuela. In masonry, it defines a type of stonework indigenous to Zacatecas—intricate and inexplicably strong. In a play, it can signify the seemingly unpatterned base to your storyline—one that is ripe with surprising possibilities. In this one-day workshop, we’ll begin by looking at several scenes from plays. From there, we’ll write a quick scene or look at what we’ve already written. Finally, we’ll work towards placing them in new and unexplored patterns that challenge and delight the audience.
