From the explorers of the 1700s through the Gold Rush, many a thirsty Alaskan enjoyed locally made beers. In 1986, the tradition was revived with the opening of the Alaskan Brewing Company, the 67th brewery in the country and the first brewery in Juneau since Prohibition. Learn more about the traditions, styles and process of making these well regarded brews from the Brewmaster himself as he leads you on a tasting tour. Our staff will show you how to make these flavorful dishes dishes that highlight the best from Alaskan waters: Alaskan White paired with a Salad of Olive Oil- Poached Shrimp, Fennel, Oranges & Arugula ; Alaskan Amber paired with Crab Cakes;
Alaskan Freeride APA paired with Grilled Salmon with "Barbeque Sauce" on a bed of Israeli Couscous;
Alaskan IPA served with Orange Crepes with Roasted Figs & Honey Butter; and
a Nightcap of Pumpkin Porter, a rare and allocated offering, with Warmed Assorted Nuts.
