URBAN-15 hosts the 7th Annual Josiah Media Festival on July 11th-13th. The three-day event exclusively features short films by national and international filmmakers under age 21.
On Saturday, July 13th,there will be an Awards Presentation of $2000 in gift cards to B&H Photo and Video from NYC. The “Best in Show” winner, and winners in the categories of Narrative, Animation, Experimental, and Documentary will be awarded.
The Josiah Media Festival showcases outstanding works by young film, video, and media artists. The URBAN-15 group worked with Marcus and Nancy Neundorf to create the festival to honor their son Josiah Miles Neundorf, who passed away in 2006 from osteosarcoma. Josiah was a talented media artist from San Antonio who expanded the lives of those around him through his brilliance, joy, and determination to create outstanding works despite battling his disease.
The film festival is held at URBAN-15’s studio on 2500 S. Presa, 78210. Screenings begin at 7pm each night. General admission is $10, and admission for military, artists, students, and seniors is $5.
