Electronics Recycling EventElectronics Recycling FlierPSC Environmental Services, LLC is partnering with Texas State University to celebrate Earth Day with the RecycleNow Electronics Recycling Event. This is the fifth consecutive year for the joint partnership which has collected and recycled over 100,000 pounds of electronics and donated over $30,000 to support sustainability programs. PSC and Texas State University have worked together to secure many local sponsors including the City of San Marcos to provide materials, equipment, in-kind services and monetary contributions for the event. All net proceeds from this event support sustainability efforts on the campus.
The event will be held rain or shine in the Strahan Coliseum Parking Lot on the Texas State campus, Saturday April 20, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. During the event a variety of electronics will be accepted for proper recycling at no charge.Accepted items are computers, cell phones, printers, scanners, gaming consoles, VCRs, DVD players, and a variety of other electronic devices. Unacceptable items are appliances and microwaves. Texas State students, faculty and staff may bring personal items only. University-owned items must continue to be processed through the Central Receiving Warehouse.
