Silver & Black Give Back is hosting an information session for youth oriented nonprofits interested in applying for the 2013 Summer Team Up Challenge.Attendees will hear directly from past participants, walk through the application, and learn about the unique experiences available for the youth involved in their programs.The Summer Team Up Challenge is a three month long program (June - August) that allows youth to choose issues important to them and start to create a change, bringing education alive in powerful ways. Applications are due on March 15, 2013.Ten semi-finalists are awarded $1,000 to begin their projects. Throughout the summer semi-finalists are recognized on court and may receive help from players across all of our franchises - Spurs, Rampage and Silver Stars.At the end of the summer, three nonprofit organizations are awarded $10,000 for their students' work improving our community. Visit teamupchallenge.com to see examples of projects, download the application and learn more.
