In honor of the holiday season and success of Mummies of the World, the Witte invites the public to enjoy the 12 Days of Christmas. During the first 12 days in December, the Witte Museum and American Exhibitions, Inc. will be offering students in grades 1-12 a $5 discount to the blockbuster exhibition Mummies of the World. Students can simply visit the Witte on the day that correlates with the respective grade. Mummies of the World is the largest exhibition of mummies and related artifacts ever assembled, featuring an astounding collection of 150 specimens and objects including real human and animal mummies, and related artifacts from South America, Europe, Asia, Oceania and Ancient Egypt. The acclaimed traveling exhibition opened at the Witte Museum on September 29, 2012 to rave reviews, and is currently on display in San Antonio through January 27, 2012. Regular priced admission to Mummies of the World is $22 for adults; $18 for children; $20 for seniors ages 65+. All tickets include full-day admission to the Witte.
