SAMAs Aphrodites by Jessica Powers, The Gilbert M. Denman, Jr. Curator of Art of the Ancient Mediterranean World Tuesday, December 4 6:00-6:25 p.m. This talk focuses on six works of art from SAMAs collection that are featured in Aphrodite and the Gods of Love. Ranging from a gold diadem to marble sculptures, these objects depict Aphrodite, her companions and rivals, and reflect her broad sphere of influence in ancient Greek life.
